Social cognition, or thinking about others, is necessary to develop and engage in cooperative play with peers.

Navigating Behavior Solutions, LLC is dedicated to offering exemplary direct, 1:1 ABA therapy services, training and social thinking™ groups for children and young adults affected by an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) or related developmental disability. Our direct therapeutic services combine the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) with Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and social thinking skills to provide a dynamic framework for children and adolescents to learn emotional regulation, cooperative work and play skills, build and maintain friendships, and gain pre-vocational and employability skills.

Our approach utilizes cutting-edge research in social cognition being completed at Harvard and Cambridge University, coupled with proven teaching methodologies espoused by ABA, to build lasting cooperative play and cooperative work skills in individuals with ASD and related developmental disabilities. We capitalize on our student’s strengths and interests to build skills that are both enjoyable and functional in the educational, home and community settings. Our goal is to help children, young adults, and their families realize their dreams and goals through comprehensive programming tailored to meet each student’s individual needs.

All of our individual, 1:1 ABA sessions are ran by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and/or Board Certified Behavior Analysts as credentialed through the BACB. Our Social Thinking™ groups are planned and lead by Registered Behavior Technicians and/or Board Certified Behavior Analysts through the BACB. This practice enables us to provide our clients and families with the highest level of integrity in programming and accountability.

Navigating Behavior Solutions is dedicated to offering exemplary educational programming models, training, consultation and educational products for students with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorders) and related disabilities across all age ranges, which target the generalization of skills. Our educational programming models encompass a wide range of research based interventions for students with ASD and include a comprehensive framework grounded in an integrated approach that combines ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) and TEACCH (Treatment and Education of Autistic and Communication related handicapped Children) to maximize student learning and generalization of skills.

Our comprehensive programming models provide a framework that encompasses the physical and visual structure of the classroom, classroom and individualized communication systems, classroom and individualized positive behavioral supports including systems needed to teach emotional regulation and coping skills, structured teaching activities and programs, and culminates by including teaching procedures for maximizing true generalization of skills for students with ASD into the larger classroom setting, community and home setting, and post-secondary setting using procedures grounded in ABA.

Our interactive teaching materials for elementary and secondary/post-secondary students integrate the visual structure of TEACCH with the task analysis and teaching repertoire supported by ABA to give the student with ASD the tools needed to develop pragmatic language, cooperative play, functional academic and vocational skills that generalize to the larger group and community settings.
